Privacy policy for QuestPilot
Effective Date: August 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how QuestPilot ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our browser extension (the "Extension"). We are committed to ensuring your privacy and complying with the developer policies of the Microsoft Edge Add-ons Hub and the Chrome Web Store.
To provide our core services and prevent unauthorized use, we collect and process the strictly necessary minimum amount of data:
- License/Activation Keys: We collect the license key you manually input into the Extension.
- User Identifiers: We process your Discord User ID solely for the purpose of linking your active session to your license.
- Extension Metadata: We may transmit basic, non-identifiable request headers necessary for the Extension to communicate with our secure backend servers.
What We Do NOT Collect:
- We do not collect, track, or store your browsing history, web traffic, or search queries.
- We do not access or collect your personal messages, passwords, or private account data.
- We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes.
The data we collect is used exclusively for the following operational purposes:
- Authentication & Licensing: To verify that you hold a valid license key via our secure backend (Cloudflare Workers) before allowing the Extension to execute its core functions.
- Service Delivery: To facilitate authorized API requests required for the Extension to operate smoothly with third-party platforms (e.g., discordsays.com).
- Security: To prevent abuse, reverse engineering, and unauthorized sharing of license keys.
We implement robust security measures to protect your data:
- Local Storage: Your License Key is stored securely within your browser's local storage environment (
chrome.storage.local) and is never exposed to unauthorized external scripts. - In-Transit Encryption: All communications between the Extension and our backend servers are encrypted using standard HTTPS/TLS protocols.
- Minimal Retention: We do not maintain persistent databases of your personal activity. License checks are handled as blind, automated executions on our servers.
We respect your privacy. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any third parties.
The Extension only communicates with our official backend servers and the specifically required endpoints (such as discordsays.com) necessary for the Extension's declared functionality.
The Extension interacts with external services (e.g., Discord). Please note that your interactions with these third-party platforms are governed by their respective privacy policies and terms of service. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites.
You have full control over the data stored by the Extension. You can delete your License Key and clear the Extension's local data at any time by uninstalling the Extension or clearing its data through your browser's extension management settings.
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The updated policy will always be available through the store listing, and we encourage you to review it periodically.
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or the Extension's data practices, please contact the developer at:
