Web Text-to-Speech Reader is a Firefox accessibility extension. After clicking the extension button in the toolbar, it extracts the main article content from the current webpage and reads it aloud using the system voice in a separate, clean reading tab. It is suitable for text-focused pages such as news articles, blogs, tutorials, encyclopedias, and product documentation.
Privacy Notice:
It does not send articles, webpage URLs, voice settings, or analytics data.
It contains no advertising, tracking, telemetry, or remote code.
Articles are stored only in the current Firefox session’s in-memory browser.storage.session.
The associated article is deleted when its reading tab is closed; all article session data is cleared when Firefox stops.
How to use: Open a regular webpage containing an article, click the extension button, select the starting sentence in the newly opened reading tab, and then click Start Reading.
