  • Latest version

    Version 1.73.0.0

    Released Aug 8, 2026 - 81.51 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 140.0 and later
    Aar318's Live Chat TTS v1.73.0.0

    New: More Reliable Speech
    • Added stronger recovery from unexpected browser speech pauses while typing, changing Twitch tabs, or switching windows.
    • Improved Twitch control placement so desktop controls stay on the right side of the top navigation and narrow layouts remain right-aligned.

    New: Remembered Channel State
    • TTS can remember whether it should start enabled or disabled for each streamer.
    • Added settings to enable or disable all saved channels at once.
    • Added an optional, off-by-default setting to keep TTS enabled when following a raid. A saved setting for the raided channel always takes priority.

New: First-Time Chat and Custom Commands
    • Added an optional “First Time Chat” announcement for Twitch's first-time chatter indicator.
    • Added custom bot-command output patterns: paste sample output, highlight changing values, and mark them as variables.
    • Matching custom responses omit the bot name and emoji. Custom command patterns are preserved by settings export/import.

    Improved Bot Results
    • Recognized rod and wand results now announce the user named inside the response instead of StreamElements.
    • Unrelated trailing emotes and result text are no longer announced as usernames.

All speech and custom command matching remain local through the browser's Web Speech API.

    Version 1.72.0.0

    Released Jul 31, 2026 - 77.7 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 140.0 and later
    Aar318's Live Chat TTS v1.72.0.0

    New: Compact Queue Controller
    • Added pause/resume, skip, replay, clear, volume, current-message, next-message, and waiting-count controls.
    • Kept the injected toolbar compact with exactly two equal-size buttons in one seamless TTS | Queue segment.
    • Left-click TTS toggles speech; left-click Queue opens the controller; right-click either button opens Settings.

New: Smarter Anti-Spam and Priority Rules
    • Repeated and highly similar copy-paste messages can be collapsed without limiting how frequently an individual chatter may be read.
    • Subscriptions, raids, supported moderation events, highlighted or paid messages, favorite users, and Priority rules can move ahead of ordinary chat.

    New: Channel Profiles
    • Save and automatically restore voice, volume, rate, pitch, pronunciation, filters, anti-spam, priority preferences, and per-user rules for each channel.
    • Added focused tooltips for queue actions, anti-spam behavior, priority controls, and channel profiles.

All speech remains local through the browser’s Web Speech API.

Long-running chat memory is now bounded for autocomplete users, active-channel users, and page-session chatter history.

Settings backups continue to include all voices, speech controls, pronunciation mappings, filters, anti-spam rules, priority rules, per-user rules, and channel profiles. Export filenames and import labels are now platform-neutral for Twitch, Kick, and YouTube Live.

Chat-composer typing on Twitch, Kick, and YouTube Live no longer repeatedly resumes an already-running voice. All three editors now use the pause-aware typing guard for smoother uninterrupted playback.

  • Version 1.71.0.0

    Released Jul 29, 2026 - 71.68 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 140.0 and later
    Aar318's Live Chat TTS v1.71.0.0
    • Renamed extension to “Aar318's Live Chat TTS” so future live-chat platforms do not make the name unwieldy.
    • Added Kick chat extraction, toolbar placement, subscription/gift detection, and composer-safe speech handling.
    • Added global speech-rate and pitch controls.
    • Added optional minimum and maximum message-length filters (off by default), with a suggested 5–300 character preset.
    • Added per-user Normal, Mute, and Priority rules with optional voice, rate, pitch, and pronunciation overrides.
    • Priority users bypass length filters and move to the front of the waiting speech queue.
    • Added subscription, resubscription, gift-sub, Prime, and Tier 1/2/3 announcements where the site exposes the details.
    • Reorganized panel around an obvious settings gear: message filters, per-user rules, and settings backup now live in a dedicated advanced settings view.
    • Moved Ko-fi, Donate, author, and installed-version details into a clean top header.
    • Standardized the persistent settings header metadata as “v1.71.0.0 by Hor318”.
    • Confirmed left-click toggles TTS and added right-click as an alternate way to open its settings panel.
    • Fixed Kick chat observation failures caused by the undefined kickMessageSelector reference.
    • Moved desktop Kick controls toward the top search/header area, with the chat footer retained as a safe fallback.
    • Added an inverse Kick theme: green controls by default with a purple enabled state.
    • Made the Kick color theme resilient to Kick’s page hydration so the controls no longer flash green and then fall back to Twitch purple.
    • Locked the intended inverse Kick enabled style after holiday/theme rules: the control stays green and gains a purple outer highlight when active.
    • Forced readable dark settings fields and replaced the loosely arranged settings buttons with a polished two-tab layout.
    • Added YouTube Live chat speech, membership/subscription announcement extraction, and controls beside the YouTube live-chat composer.
    • Moved the visible YouTube TTS control into the main masthead so it remains available above live chat even when the Top Chat menu or composer changes.
    • Added YouTube-red controls with a persistent purple enabled highlight plus live-chat header fallbacks when the composer is unavailable.
    • Routed extension-icon toggle/settings/stop/selection commands into YouTube’s live-chat frame.
    • Broadened Kick chat-root and message detection while retaining the green control surface after site/theme updates.
    • Kept rod/wand results condensed to “user: ROD/WAND is length long and width thick.”
    • Removed the unused activeTab permission and added only the Twitch, Kick, and YouTube host access needed by the content script.
    • Fixed the YouTube masthead TTS control so left-click directly updates the visible state, relays that state into every live-chat frame, starts/stops observation, and announces Enabled/Disabled exactly o

  • Version 1.69.0.0

    Released Jul 27, 2026 - 54.95 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 140.0 and later
    New in 1.69.0.0
    • Added explicit m.twitch.tv support for the userscript and Chrome/Firefox extensions.
    • Added a coordinated mobile top control bar when Twitch's desktop navigation controls are unavailable.
    • Positioned TTS immediately to the right of Reading Mask with a dedicated gap in the coordinated mobile top bar so their borders no longer overlap.
    • Kept the mobile TTS group aligned inside Twitch's top bar rather than floating over the video.
    • Kept the control at a stable page position and lowered its stacking priority so native dialogs and foreground app prompts can naturally cover it.
    • Controls now move between mobile and desktop placement as the viewport changes.
    • Desktop TTS controls compact automatically before Twitch's header becomes crowded.
    • Expanded mobile chat-container compatibility.
    • Rod and wand bot results are condensed to: “[user]: ROD/WAND is [length] long and [width] thick.”
    • Retained fullscreen hiding, touch-friendly settings, and responsive settings-panel behavior.

  • Version 1.68.0.1

    Released Jul 23, 2026 - 53.89 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 140.0 and later
    • Prevented interrupted speech from repeatedly restarting a chatter's username.
    • Limited zero-progress speech retries so stalled browser speech cannot loop an opening phrase.
    • Kept active speech running while typing in Twitch chat, including delayed browser pause events.
    • Updated chat detection to process each outer Twitch message once, including Shared Chat messages.
    • Ignored dividers and system placeholders without usernames, preventing "Unknown" announcements.

  • Version 1.68.0.0

    Released Jul 22, 2026 - 53.17 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 140.0 and later
    • Added compact, touch-friendly controls for phone-width Twitch pages.
    • Improved the mobile settings panel to fit the visible screen and device safe areas.
    • Prevented horizontal overflow and unwanted form zoom on narrow screens.
    • Improved settings accessibility labels and dialog behavior.
    • Typing in Twitch chat no longer disrupts the TTS queue. Unexpected browser pauses are resumed, and interrupted messages continue near the last spoken word.
    • Added optional smart username pronunciation for stylized names such as Cl0V3R_o7 (Clover07) and R430r (Razor).
    • Custom username mappings still take priority over automatic pronunciation.
    • Combined TTS and Settings into one clean segmented control with independent click targets.
    • Fixed a queue-stall edge case after the enable announcement or voice preview.
    • The active TTS segment now has a persistent green border.
    • Editing custom name mappings no longer restarts active speech; recovery waits for typing to settle and advances beyond the completed word boundary.
    • First-session emoji-only messages announce the chatter and emoji description.
    • Added announcements for native Twitch Cheers/Bits and recognizable StreamElements/Streamlabs-style tips.
    • Expanded extraction for image emotes and messages without ordinary text fragments.
    • All settings, mappings, and allowed-bot entries now auto-save; complete settings export/import is available in the panel.
    • Enable/disable feedback now uses priority retryable announcements, and first-session emoji-only messages explicitly say “emoji” after the chatter's name.
    • Prevented cold-start clipping of “TTS” in Enabled/Disabled announcements and corrected interruption recovery so a username is never treated as spoken before its word completes.
    • Twitch username tags are now spoken as “at [name],” irregular mixed-case names are normalized more naturally, and Settings Backup controls now appear at the top of the panel.
    • Fixed Twitch's split mention markup so tagged messages are spoken completely, including all text after the @username.
    • Message lines now wait briefly for all mention and text fragments to settle before entering the speech queue.
    • Removed the hard-coded personal pronunciation mappings; only user-created custom mappings override smart username pronunciation.
    • The editable custom-mapping field is now seeded once with hor318:Dev and xthexpanx:Spanks; both entries can be changed or cleared normally without returning.
    • Settings import now offers the Stream Notifier-style “Keep existing settings (merge)” choice. Merge preserves current preferences and conflicting mappings while adding missing mappings and allowed bots; unchecked import overwrites the backup scope.
