This Privacy Policy explains how the BrokerBuddie AutoFill browser extension (“Extension”) handles information when you install and use it. It should be read together with the general BrokerBuddie website privacy policy at brokerbuddie.ai where applicable.

1. Single purpose
   The Extension’s only purpose is to help authorised finance brokers and staff fill lender and broker loan application forms using client profile data from their BrokerBuddie account. It does not provide advertising, browse-tracking, or unrelated productivity tools.
2. Information we process
   Depending on how you use the Extension, we may process:

Authentication information — your BrokerBuddie email and password (or resulting access tokens) so the Extension can sign you in and retrieve your own workspace data.
Personally identifiable information — client details already stored in BrokerBuddie (for example name, email, phone, address, business identifiers) that you choose to use for autofill.
Financial information — client financial/loan profile fields already stored in BrokerBuddie (for example loan amounts, revenue, or related application data) used only to fill forms you select.
Website content on the active form page — field labels, input names, and similar on-page form structure on the lender/broker page you choose to fill, so the Extension can match and write values.
Local extension settings — preferences such as Auto-Next timing, Terms checkbox option, status display mode, fill-session state, and per-site field mapping memory stored in your browser.
We do not intentionally collect:

Health information
Personal communications from email/SMS/chat apps
Device GPS location tracking
A history of websites you visit
Keystroke, mouse, or scroll logging for analytics or sale
3. How we use information
Authenticate you to BrokerBuddie
Load the client profile you select
Fill the lender/broker form tab you choose
Remember optional autofill preferences and field mappings on your device
Operate multi-step fill sessions you start (and can stop at any time)
Autofill runs only after you take an action such as clicking Fill This Form. The Extension is designed not to auto-start fill sessions on unrelated tabs.

1. How information is stored and transferred
   On your device: login tokens, preferences, local field memory/exclusions, and temporary fill-session data are stored using the browser’s extension storage.
   With BrokerBuddie servers: authentication and client-data requests are sent to BrokerBuddie APIs (for example https://brokerbuddie.ai/api) so the Extension can retrieve your own account and client records as JSON.
   With lender websites: values are written into the form you choose to fill. Those websites are operated by third parties and have their own privacy practices.
   The Extension does not sell personal information. It does not use remote code execution; extension logic is packaged with the Extension, and API responses are data used for filling forms.
2. Permissions
   The Extension requests browser permissions only as needed for autofill, including storage, access to the active/selected tab and frames (including iframes), script injection for form filling, and host access so it can work across many lender domains. Host access is used to read/fill form fields and to communicate with BrokerBuddie for account/client data — not to build a browsing profile.
3. Data retention
   Local tokens, preferences, and mapping memory remain until you log out, clear extension storage, or uninstall the Extension.
   Temporary fill sessions expire automatically (approximately 30 minutes) or when you click Stop / end the session.
   Account and client records remain governed by your BrokerBuddie account and the BrokerBuddie platform privacy policy.
4. Your choices
   Sign out from the Extension popup
   Stop an active fill session at any time
   Disable or uninstall the Extension in your browser
   Clear site field memory by clearing extension data / reinstalling
   Manage or delete client data in your BrokerBuddie account where available
5. Children’s privacy
   The Extension is intended for business use by finance professionals and is not directed to children.
6. Changes
   We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above will be revised when changes are published. Continued use of the Extension after an update means you accept the revised policy.
