It is constantly updated when YouTube code changes, so don't give up - follow the guidelines and upgrade to the Pro version with a donation of your choice.

The developer puts a lot of work in keeping up with youtoube's changes, which makes it very usable. The "Pro" upgrade totally makes sense to support server costs he has for transcoding stuff.

So it does a pretty good job of keeping up. My job involves education in areas with lack adequate internet access. This makes many things possible that would not be possible otherwise.
