Fet Notification Filter is now Fet Features. This release merges our two
FetLife extensions into one and adds a third feature. Existing Fet
Notification Filter installations receive this as a regular update — all
notification settings carry over automatically.

or FetLife. Client-side display filtering only: no data collection, no
analytics, no network requests. Use at your own risk (see README).
What's in 1.0.1- Notifications (from Fet Notification Filter): filter the notifications
page by type: loves, comments on your content, mentions, follows & follow
requests, friend & relationship requests, groups & discussions and
everything else, each with its own toggle. - Home feed (from Fet Home Filter): choose how "X loved N pictures"
thumbnail grids appear: hidden, normal or bigger thumbnails. - Message requests (new): optionally hide requests from senders whose
self-identified gender is "M", based on the age/gender label FetLife shows
next to the username. Off by default. A small "N requests hidden" line
above the list shows what the filter is doing, since FetLife's own
Requests counter keeps counting hidden rows. Hidden means hidden, not
deleted — turn the toggle off and everything is back. - One popup with three sections, one global on/off switch, settings synced
across your own browser profile viastorage.sync. - Endless scrolling keeps working with all features active; everything
survives Turbo page navigations and dynamically loaded content.
Migration notes- Fet Notification Filter users: nothing to do. Your notification
toggles migrate automatically; the new features start at safe defaults
(home feed unchanged, request hiding off). - Fet Home Filter users: please install Fet Features and re-select your
thumbnail mode once — settings cannot cross extension boundaries. The
separate Fet Home Filter will be discontinued; its listing will point
here.
Under the hood
Feature modules now live in separate files (src/features/) on a small
shared core (settings with legacy migration, DOM observer, Turbo hooks,
Waypoint refresh bridge). Attribute namespace unified todata-ff-*.
Known limitations- Classification and detection are based on the mid-2026 DOM and English UI
strings where text patterns are involved. Redesigns may require an
update; the failure mode is safe (unrecognized content stays visible). - Request filtering matches only the exact gender token "M" and "Male". Rows without a
parsable age/gender label stay visible. - Home-feed thumbnails are 160px sources; "bigger" upscales them and gets
soft beyond ~250px cells. Full-size fetching would require network
requests and is deliberately not implemented. - FetLife sometimes creates several notification blocks for the same
content; with loves hidden these can look like duplicated comments
