Long Chat Booster is a local-first Firefox extension. It does not operate a server and does not automatically collect or transmit user data outside the browser extension.


The extension does not automatically transmit:

• prompts or unsent drafts
• AI replies
• pasted code or clipboard contents
• conversation titles or conversation content
• browsing history
• account credentials
• analytics, telemetry, advertising identifiers, or usage profiles

The extension stores user-controlled settings in Firefox extension storage.

Draft Guard may temporarily store up to 20,000 characters of an unsent prompt in Firefox storage.session so the draft can survive an extension-triggered reload. This temporary draft:

• remains inside extension-owned browser session storage
• is scoped to the source tab and conversation
• is removed after restoration, expiry, or tab closure
• is not sent to the developer or any external service

Temporary reply-notification coordination data may also be held in storage.session. It contains technical identifiers and timestamps needed to prevent duplicate alerts; it does not contain prompt or reply text.


When the user chooses Save .md or Save .txt for very large pasted content, the file is generated locally in the browser. The extension does not automatically upload or attach the file.


The Report a bug button opens an external Google Form only after an explicit user action. The extension may copy a privacy-filtered technical diagnostic report to the clipboard, but it does not automatically paste or submit that report. The user decides what, if anything, to provide in the form. Information submitted to the Google Form is handled under Google's and the form owner's applicable policies.


The extension runs only on:

• https://chatgpt.com/*
• https://chat.openai.com/*

Access is used solely to provide the extension's disclosed conversation-performance, notification, navigation, and code-paste features.


Long Chat Booster is an independent extension and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by OpenAI or Mozilla.


Material privacy changes will be documented in the extension release notes and reflected in an updated policy before release.
