About this extension
Save any image from the web in two clicks — then find it again, and paste it into whatever you're writing.

You've seen it happen: a chart, an infographic, a meme worth keeping. Six months later you remember it existed, but not who posted it, what it was called, or which tab it was in. Feeds are not archives.

MemeStack fixes both halves of that problem. Right-click any image on any page and choose "Save to MemeStack". It uploads in the background while you keep reading, and AI writes a caption, assigns tags and reads the text inside the image — so later you can find it by describing what it was about, instead of remembering a filename you never knew. And when you want an image back, you don't leave the page you're on: search from the popup and paste the result straight into what you're typing.

WHAT IT DOES
• Two-click save from any page — including sites that hide images behind click-catching overlays, like X and Instagram. A page-level fallback finds the image under your cursor when the browser's own menu can't.
• AI caption, tags and OCR on every save, so search works on what an image means and on the words printed inside it.
• Find & paste without leaving the page: search MemeStack from the popup and click a result — it lands on your clipboard as a PNG, and on sites that support it, drops straight into the field you were typing in.
• Duplicate detection — if an image is already in the index, you're told, instead of saving it twice.
• Saves survive interruption. Close the browser mid-upload, or let the background worker be killed, and the save resumes on its own. Nothing is silently lost.
• The popup shows your recent saves, live processing status and your remaining daily quota, without leaving the page you're on.

WHERE YOUR SAVES GO
Every save runs through the same AI moderation as every other MemeStack upload. Approved images join the public, searchable index at memestack.ai, credited to your account. Anything that doesn't pass stays visible only to you.

SIGNING IN
Sign in with a Lightning wallet (LNURL) — no password, no email address. Or, if you already have a MemeStack account, open memestack.ai/extension/connect and connect it in one click.

The token the extension stores is deliberately restricted: it can upload images, check the status of your own saves, and read your own library — searches, saved images, collections. Our servers refuse it everywhere else — your wallet included, and it can never write or spend.

FIND & PASTE
Open the popup — the toolbar icon, Alt+M, or right-click any text field and choose "Insert image from MemeStack" — to search the public gallery or, once you're signed in, your own saved images and collections, all without leaving the page. Click a result and it's copied to your clipboard as a PNG, and on sites that support it the extension pastes it straight into the field you were typing in — everywhere else, the image is already on your clipboard, so Ctrl+V finishes the job. Works fully signed out for public search; sign in to reach your saves and private collections too.

PRIVACY
The extension sends only what you choose to give it: the images you explicitly save, the searches you type into its popup, and your login token — all to memestack.ai and nowhere else. The address of the page an image came from is kept on your device to label the save in your list, and is never transmitted. No browsing history. No analytics. No tracking of any kind.

One request goes somewhere other than us, and it is there to protect you: before downloading an image, the extension asks Cloudflare's public DNS resolver (1.1.1.1) where that image's domain points, so it can refuse anything that resolves to a device on your own network. Only the domain name is sent — never the page, never the image, never anything identifying you.
