What Note Pro collects
Nothing. Note Pro makes no network requests. There is no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting and no advertising. No data is transmitted to the developer or to any third party, because the extension never contacts a network at all.
Where your notes are stored
Your notes, images and file attachments are stored in IndexedDB inside your own browser profile, on your own computer. They are never uploaded.
Different browsers, and different profiles within the same browser, each have their own separate database.
Page addresses
Note Pro can attach a note to the page you wrote it on. When you choose to do that, the page's title and address are saved inside your own note, on your own machine, so the note can reappear when you return to that page.
Query strings, fragments and embedded credentials are stripped from the address unless you deliberately scope a note to one exact address.
This is note content that you created. It is not browsing history, it is not collected by the developer, and it is never sent anywhere.
Note Pro requests no host permissions and injects no scripts into the pages you visit.
On-device AI
Where Chrome's built-in AI models are available, Note Pro can summarize, rewrite, translate and answer questions about a note. These are Chrome's own models running on your computer. The text of your notes is passed to the browser's local model and does not leave your device. Where built-in AI is unavailable, the AI controls are hidden. Firefox has no built-in AI, so they never appear there.
The vault
Notes you move into the vault are encrypted with PBKDF2-SHA256 and AES-GCM using a password you choose. The readable text is never written to storage, and locked notes stay out of search until you open the vault.
The developer cannot recover your password. There is no reset, by design. Keep it somewhere safe.
Sharing and export
Exports (PDF, Word, Markdown, HTML, PNG, JSON) and share files are written to your own device. Where you send them afterwards is entirely your choice, and Note Pro plays no part in it. A shared note is a copy — edits do not sync back, and there is no server holding it.
Deleting your data
Removing the extension, or clearing its data through your browser, erases every note permanently. There is no backup held anywhere else, so use Settings → Export backup if your notes matter to you.
Children
Note Pro collects no data from anyone, of any age.
