About this extension
Some websites deliberately switch off the right-click menu and stop you highlighting text, so you cannot copy anything from them. Right Click Unblocker puts the page back to normal.

HOW IT WORKS

Click the toolbar icon on any page that is blocking you. That page is unblocked immediately and a green ON badge appears on the icon. Right-click, highlight, drag and copy all work again, including inside embedded frames on the page.

For a site you visit often, tick "Always unblock this site" in the same popup. Your browser will ask permission for that one website, and from then on it is unblocked the instant the page starts loading, before the site's own blocking code gets a chance to run.

WHAT IT UNDOES
  • Right-click menus that have been disabled
  • Text that refuses to highlight
  • Copy and cut being cancelled
  • Text that cannot be dragged
  • Blocking added by the page's own scripts, including scripts that add it after the page has finished loading
  • Blocking hidden in the page's stylesheet (user-select: none)
  • Blocking written directly into the HTML (oncontextmenu="return false")

PERMISSIONS, AND WHY THERE ARE SO FEW

Most extensions of this kind ask for access to every website you visit before you have used them once. This one does not, and cannot.

By default it has access to nothing. Clicking the icon grants it access to that single page, for as long as you stay on it. The only way it ever gains ongoing access to a site is if you personally tick the box for that one site, and your browser, not the extension, asks you to confirm it. You can take that back at any time.

PRIVACY

No data collection of any kind. No accounts, no servers, no analytics, no tracking, no external connections at all. The only thing saved is the list of sites you chose to unblock automatically, and it stays on your computer.

Free, and free of nagging. There is one small support link in the popup. It is entirely optional and you will not be asked twice.

NOTE

This extension restores normal browser behaviour on pages you can already read. It does not bypass paywalls, logins, or copy protection, and it does not download anything in bulk.
