Preview of Ruckus

Ruckus by Konik Pejko

A pixel pet that lives in your browser. It sniffs out text with a prettier Ctrl+F, keeps what you copy, and occasionally tilts a photo when you are not looking. Includes offline PDF and Word tools. No accounts, no servers, nothing uploaded.

About this extension
Ruckus is your browser’s mischievous little sidekick. It lives on your pages, wanders around, naps, chases bugs, and occasionally steals a word — only to give it back.

It is also useful.
  • Find anything on a page — Ctrl+Shift+F, match counts, whole-word and regex search
  • Merge, split, rotate, number and convert PDFs — 14 offline document tools
  • Convert images to PDF or Word, and Word files to PDF or HTML
  • Save pages for later and keep a history of things you copy
  • Snip parts of pages to PNG or copy links directly to selected text
  • Reader mode, water and movement reminders, and a Pomodoro timer
  • Tiny contextual reactions — notebook while typing, popcorn for videos, blindfold on password fields
  • Everything runs locally, including document processing

🔒 Your data stays yours

Ruckus needs access to web pages because that is where its features run. It needs to see the page you're viewing to power Find on Page, Reader Mode, text-selection tools, the little creature, and other page features.

It does not collect, read, send, or store your browsing data. Your files are processed locally in your browser and are never uploaded. Saved pages, copied text, and settings stay on your machine.

No accounts. No servers. No analytics. No telemetry. No network code at all. It even works with the network switched off.

And if you don't trust us, good! Ruckus is fully open source (MIT), so you can inspect exactly what it does:
