Extension Metadata

About this extension
Many websites deny access when you visit them from a foreign IP or through a VPN.
The check is usually a separate piece: a script, a dedicated subdomain, or a gate
page you get redirected to. Runet Unblock helps you find that check and block it
precisely, without breaking the site itself.

BLOCKING RULES

Not just whole domains — and that matters, because a check often lives on the very
same host as the site, so blocking the host outright is not an option:

• site.com — the entire host
• site.com/gate — a path and everything under it, query string ignored
• site.com/sec/gate/ — a whole branch
• site.com/App-
.js — a wildcard, for filenames with a build hash that keeps changing
• re:App-[a-z0-9]+.js — a regular expression

A rule covers pages as well as scripts.

AUTOMATIC DETECTION

The extension looks for checks on its own, using five independent methods: keywords
in the request URL, domains of known anti-fraud vendors, response headers and
cookies, script contents, and the text of the gate page itself. Redirects of the
main document to a suspicious address are tracked separately.

Findings land in the Candidates tab with a confidence score from 0 to 100 and the
list of reasons behind it. Nothing is blocked without your decision — automatic
blocking is off by default. Analytics and tracking scripts are filtered out so they
do not clutter the list.

MANUAL INTERCEPTION

A mode in the spirit of Burp Interceptor: every request on the page is held until
you press Forward. The moment the gate page appears, you block the request you let
through last — that one is the culprit. Three upcoming requests and three recent
ones are shown for context.

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO

It does not solve or bypass CAPTCHAs, and it does not change your IP address. If a
site refuses you at the connection level — returning an error for the document
itself based on your IP or connection fingerprint — this extension cannot help. It
works above that layer.

DATA

The extension collects no data and sends nothing anywhere. Your rule list and the
detected candidates are stored only in your browser's local storage.
