About this extension
Click the ⚙ icon in the sidebar (or right-click the extension icon →
Manage Extension → Preferences). You'll see a redirect URL — copy it,
you'll need it for all three app registrations below.
  1. Go to https://api.slack.com/apps → "Create New App" → "From scratch".
  2. Under OAuth & Permissions, add the redirect URL from Settings.
  3. Under User Token Scopes, add: channels:history, channels:read,
    chat:write, groups:history, groups:read, im:history, im:read,
    im:write, mpim:history, mpim:read, users:read.
  4. Under Basic Information, copy the Client ID and Client
    Secret
    into the extension's Settings page.
  5. Install the app to your workspace when prompted (or ask your
    workspace admin to approve it).
  1. Go to https://portal.azure.com → Azure Active Directory → App
    registrations → "New registration".
  2. Under Authentication, add a "Mobile and desktop applications"
platform, paste in the redirect URL from Settings, and check
"Treat as public client" = Yes.
  3. Under API permissions, add delegated Microsoft Graph permissions:
    Chat.Read, Chat.ReadWrite, ChatMessage.Send, User.Read.
Grant admin consent if your org requires it.
  4. Copy the Application (client) ID into the extension's Settings
page. Leave Tenant as common unless your IT admin gives you a
    specific tenant ID.
  1. Go to https://marketplace.zoom.us/develop/create → "General App".
  2. Add the redirect URL from Settings under OAuth redirect URL.
  3. Add scopes: chat_channel:read, chat_channel:write,
    chat_message:read, chat_message:write, chat_contact:read.
  4. Copy the Client ID (and Client Secret, if your app isn't
configured as a public/PKCE app) into the extension's Settings page.

Open the sidebar, pick a tab (Slack / Teams / Zoom), click Connect,
sign in when your browser prompts you, then pick a conversation from the
list on the left. Messages, an emoji picker, and local history (cached in
the browser so it loads instantly next time) all work per-tab.
  • It does not receive push notifications — it polls the active
conversation every 15 seconds while the sidebar is open.
  • Zoom Team Chat's API has narrower message history limits than the
native apps; very old messages may not be retrievable.
  • Credentials and tokens are stored only in this browser's local
extension storage — never sent anywhere except directly to
    Slack/Microsoft/Zoom's own servers.
