by Firefox user 18282249, 3 years agoVery nice add-on, I do wish it worked on a per-window basis rather than globally though, and that it had a blend option to make the delayed colour switch less jarring.
edit: Turns out the per-window colour issue was due to another add-on called Sidebery, and the smooth transition fix works great, thanks for responding!

posted 2 years agoThanks for the review! As tested on Firefox Version 122, the add-on actually gives windows different colours based on the active tab in them. I must apologise but the add-on not working on a per-window basis might be related to the browser verison. Feel free to open an issue on GitHub page if the issue occurs on the current release version of Firefox.
For a smoother colour transition, you can refer to this thread: https://github.com/easonwong-de/Adaptive-Tab-Bar-Colour/issues/43. TL;DR: It's recommended to use a CSS theme for that purpose.

- Rated 5 out of 5by ebayybe, 2 months agoI’ve been looking for a way to make the Firefox UI more native and adaptive, similar to macOS Safari. This extension nailed it. The colors are picked accurately and softly, and the transitions are smooth. The tabs no longer stand out as a gray block but blend into the website seamlessly. Amazing job.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Raygen, 2 months agoIt's good, but it's a bit laggy. Just like Dark reader: It has an impact on browser's performance.

- Rated 5 out of 5by scumhero, 2 months agoI checked all the scripts in the .xpi file locally on my device and confirmed for myself that the extension only reads local CSS and does not contain any outgoing tracking or telemetry code.
But since I’m already creeped out, I’ll turn off auto-updates and recommend others do the same :) I hope permission can be bypassed in the future.
Edit: Indeed, that'll definitely save some time XDDeveloper response
posted 2 months agoHi, scumhero. Respect to you for checking the code! Alternatively, you can also build the add-on from the source code on GitHub and compare it with the .xpi file :)
