AI Chat Exporter does not collect, transmit or store any data.

When you click Export, the extension reads the text of the conversation already displayed in the active tab (chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com or claude.ai), formats it as Markdown or JSON inside your browser, and downloads it to your computer using a local Blob.

There is no backend, no analytics, no telemetry, no cookies and no account system. Nothing is sent anywhere. The developer never sees your conversations.

The extension requests a single permission, activeTab, which applies only to the tab you are looking at and only at the moment you click Export.

The popup contains two ordinary links (backscroll.xyz and a Gumroad page). Clicking one opens that page in a new tab; the extension sends no data to either.
