- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18003666, 5 hours agoWhat a pain in the ***! Pops up everywhere, whether you want it or not. If the site doesn't do cash backs, it tries to steer you to a site that does, even if the site it recommends has nothing in common with the site you want to use.
At one time you could exclude sites from the popups, but no longer. Only certain sites are allowed to be excluded, and even then sometimes the cash back popup still appears. Then you have the little icon that remains on the screen to remind you that Rakuten is available and it for some reason it always appears to cover parts of the website that you need to see or access. To get rid of the small reminder you have to manually turn it off, but only for that session. It always appears, no way to turn it off permanently.
It worked much better when Rakuten allowed you to customize it, but no longer. I've already switched to Capital One Shopping or MS Shopping. At least you can control when and how they popup. - Rated 1 out of 5by joe, 3 months ago

ALWAYS shop local over a small kickback for selling your personal information, of course.
Rakuten: get the damn "icon" off my screen err at least give me the option, WTF - deactivatedDeveloper response

You can download and review the data we have on file for your Rakuten account (as well as request the deletion of that data) in the Privacy Preferences of your account on our website: https://www.rakuten.com/privacy-preferences.htm
We are sorry that newer icon feature isn't to your liking. You can slide that icon out of the way, up and down the viewed page. If this new feature is in the way, you can always uninstall our extension and shop directly through our app or through our website, Rakuten.com, going forward. - Rated 1 out of 5by Yakedo, 5 months ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18488372, 7 months agoInstalled and two out of two purchases did not track. Simply doesn't work. Contacted Rakuten and received the generic "we will reach out" response. Hard to believe there is something worse than their normal tracking. So not only is this add on extremely intrusive with pop ups it doesn't work.
Reply to developer response: How exactly will you "review this" other than to say we'll reach out to the merchant and if they didn't track it then it is the users fault? Fact is there are better cash back sites that actually have relationships with merchants rather than Rakuten's "oh well, it's your fault" response.Developer response

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 19026091, a year agoThis used to be awesome. For the past year after I click on the cash back icon and confirm, NOTHING. I've literally lost hundreds of dollars since this app doesn't work. I've been promised money back, I click on what needs to be done, it's confirmed and NOTHING. It's a scam.

posted a year agoIf you see you are making Shopping Trips and our extension is activating, then it may be some internet traffic filtering service or VPN is active or an issue with the merchant recognizing the order as eligible for Cash Back through us. This may be why your eligible orders aren't reporting. Please reach out to our team at socialhelp@rakuten.com so we can dig into this for you. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16761587, a year ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 16471973, a year agoIt said 20%. I used this as opposed to a promo with another website for vitamins. I got zilch. Nothing whatsoever after it popped up showing me 20%. Completed order.

posted a year agoIt sounds like our extension might not be pinned to the toolbar. Click the "puzzle piece" icon, then click "Pin to toolbar", to get our extension pinned back to your browser.- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 17059814, a year ago
