Instrumetriq watches public posts on X (Twitter) about 270+ crypto coins and tells you which ones are drawing unusual conversation right now. Each coin is measured against its own normal, so a small coin waking up counts for as much as a large one.

WHAT IS BUSY RIGHT NOW
Open the popup and the top strip ranks the coins currently drawing the most posting accounts relative to their own baseline, alongside how the whole market is talking today compared with the past month. That view fills in before you pick anything.

READING A SINGLE COIN
Pick a coin and every reading is an observation about the conversation:

Posting attention. How many separate accounts posted in the latest update, against that coin's own recent normal. Quiet, Steady, Busy, or Unusual, with Unusual meaning six times its usual number of accounts or more.

Tone. The share of posts that read positive, neutral and negative over the last 24 hours, plus whether the scoring agreed with itself or was divided. Tone describes the language people used. It says nothing about where a price is going.

Discussed. The topics actually raised: hype, fear, scam talk, memes. Hover any one to see the words behind it.

Who is posting. How many separate accounts, and at least how many were verified.

Posts, volume and price. Posting volume against what is normal for that coin, plus 24 hour traded value, price change and high to low swing from exchange market data.

An activity chart shows the pattern per update window, per day or per week, with bar colour reflecting the tone of posts in that period.

Follow the coins you already care about and see when the conversation around them changes. Notice a coin you had not been watching because it started drawing unusual attention. Get a desktop alert when one of your tracked coins does. Read the mood around a coin before you spend time on it.

Instrumetriq describes social conversation. It does not forecast price, generate trading signals, or offer financial advice.

WHERE THE DATA STOPS
Every row that cannot be filled says why: too few posts to read tone, nothing matching the vocabulary, nobody posting at all. A quiet coin is shown as quiet. Coverage is English language posts on X.

Three permissions, and what each is for:

activeTab. When you click the icon, reads the address of the tab you are on so the popup can open on the coin you are viewing. It never reads page content.

storage. Keeps your tracked coins, theme and preferences on your own device.

alarms. Schedules the periodic check for new data. No background process is kept running.

Notifications is separate and optional. Your browser asks for it only if you turn alerts on, and turning them off releases it.

HOW IT IS BUILT
The extension source is public and the method behind every reading is documented, including the thresholds, the windows each number covers, and what the data cannot tell you. Data refreshes about once an hour.

This version is a rebuild. Earlier releases centred on a chatter meter and derivatives readouts; the extension now describes the conversation itself.
